Delivery & Collection

Delivery Methods  

After placing an order for delivery with Shawfield Timber, we will determine the best way to get your items to you. 

  • Large Orders: Orders that are 3 meters or longer will be delivered using Shawfield Timber’s own fleet of HIABs, curtain-sided, and pick-up trucks across Scotland.
  • Small and Medium Orders: These may be delivered locally by ourselves or UK-wide by our courier partners: DX Delivery, TNT (FedEx), or Bullet Express for pallets.
  • Supplier-Stocked Doors: Deliveries of doors and handles from JBK, LPD, or Deanta are handled directly by the respective suppliers and sent nationwide.

For larger orders, someone will typically need to be present to receive and sign for the delivery. Smaller courier deliveries may be left in a safe place if you are not at home. Please let us know if there are any access restrictions that might prevent a large vehicle from delivering to your address.

Delivery Pricing

The delivery charge is calculated at checkout once you input your delivery address. This charge is based on the type of products selected, the dimensions of your order, and the distance from our showroom in Rutherglen. 

  • Large orders over £1000 ex VAT are eligible for free delivery across Scotland (excluding the Highlands and Islands).
  • Large orders over £2000 ex VAT are eligible for free delivery across the North of England.

Please note that some areas of the UK may not have HIAB delivery available by default. If you do not see an appropriate delivery option at checkout and would like a quote, please email your basket to sales@shawfieldtimber.co.uk along with your delivery address.

Delivery Timeframe

If your delivery within Scotland is being made by our HIAB vehicle, you can call us on the morning of your scheduled delivery for an estimated time window. 

For smaller and medium-sized items delivered by external couriers, tracking information will be provided. Couriers will often attempt to leave smaller items in a safe place if you are not home. 

For door deliveries handled directly by the supplier, the delivery timeframes will be managed by them, and we will do our best to provide you with any available information.

Click & Collect

Once you place an order for collection and it has been confirmed, you will receive an email or a phone call once your order is ready for pickup.
